ARR bridge

The waterfall that reconciles one period's ARR to the next: starting ARR plus new business, expansion, and restarts, minus contraction and churn, equals ending ARR. If your bridge does not reconcile, your ARR number is a vibe.

Ending ARR = Starting ARR + Gross New + Expansion + Restart - Contraction - Churn

Each component is a distinct operational lever with a different owner, which is the point of splitting them: the bridge tells you which team moved the number.
